Tracy Fairchild

Tracy Fairchild is a long-time Sacramento resident with deep roots in the region that go back to her family’s emigration here during the California Gold Rush. Growing up in Folsom and Carmichael fostered a deep love for Northern California and all it offers old-timers and newcomers alike.

Tracy is driven by a personal belief that everyone can make a contribution to their community, whatever that may be for each person. To that end, Tracy’s career was immersed in public affairs and public policy, both in the private sector and for the California State Legislature, where she endeavored to do her part to make California a stronger and more equitable state for its 40 million residents.

Now retired, Tracy has devoted herself to volunteering for local causes, including four years on the board of the Sacramento SPCA, Reading Partners, political activism and, since its inception, to Impact 100 Greater Sacramento. She finds herself energized to be among so many women who make a measurable impact on our communities by supporting the growth and success of local nonprofits.

She has one son, Conor, and two rescue dogs, Bodhi and Squirrel.
